With Let Loose, the first studio album from The Shapeshifters since 2006, producer Simon Marlin returned with a vibrant tribute to the golden age of disco. With finesse he blends classic dancefloor energy with modern house production, the album gibe birth to an uplifting and euphoric sound aimed directly at club culture.

Released through the Glitterbox label, Let Loose mirrors the masterful connection between The Shapeshifters and the modern disco revival scene. This music celebrates dance music’s history while embracing the inclusivity and freedom that has always been at its core. The twelve-track album features several standout vocal collaborations, including Finally Ready with Billy Porter and Life Is A Dancefloor featuring Kimberly Davis of Chic. Another highlight, The One That Got Away, features London singer Obi Franky.

Work on the album began in 2020 with writing sessions in Brooklyn alongside collaborators including vocalist Audrey Martells and multi-instrumentalist Colin Smith. The project took two years to complete as the pandemic disrupted recording plans.
