Fine Young Cannibals

I’ve always been a huge fan of Fine Young Cannibals. I was quite happy to find a few 12” singles at one of my local record shops last week. The sweet voice of Roland Gift is a pure gift to pop, soul, new wave and alternative rock. The band broke-up in the early 90s’.

With only two studio albums (Fine Young Cannibals and The Raw & The Cooked), Fine Young Cannibals remain influential for their mix of soul, pop, and alternative music. Their songs still appear regularly on 80s playlists, movie soundtracks, and DJ sets.

If you’re a fan, I would strongly suggest getting your hands on the FYC 40 (40Th Anniversary Best Of) vinyl.
